As part of a citizen debate on the implications of artificial intelligence (AI), Vlad was invited to provide insights into the direct and indirect environmental impacts of AI and their drivers.

Fluidos Project Meeting in Rome 

The half-yearly meeting of the FluiDOS Horizon 2020 project took place in Rome; Vlad has the Work Package lead on carbon- and energy-aware computing.

Peer review meeting of UNCTAD's upcoming Digital Economy Report, UN, Geneva

Vlad took part in the peer review meeting of UNCTAD's upcoming 2024 Digital Economy Report (with emphasis on the environmental impacts of digitalisation) at the UN HQ in Geneva, Switzerland. He was also lead discussant for the overarching Chapter I.
